Home in the U.S.

Learning Fair in Michigan we attended the week following our arrival

Our home for the next year. House built in 1940

View into forest behind the house. I LOVE watching this scene as I work on the computer in our "office."

The house's quaintly beautiful living room. That sofa is SO soft

Bye-bye, Taipei

Ta Chih Bridge over the Keelung River as we viewed it the night before we left Taipei

At Taoyuan Int'l Airport getting ready to fly on July 4, 2008

Exhausted!

Moving is exhausting! The girls took a break from packing.

Any hungry ghosts around?

Sustenance for ghosts. I snapped these photos on my walk home from the office our last week in Taipei. These offerings are put out at least once a month, so I've become accustomed to seeing them and dogging the fire pots when paper money is burned. But with my mind on returning to the U.S., I knew this would be something unique for folks there.
